"Hey Mom! No Hands!"

My favorite oldest son is continually amazing me by trying new things and showing off new abilities. Today was no exception. To protect the (mostly) innocent I'm going to start the story with my son sitting in my truck by himself, myself and several other adults are standing near the tailgate when the truck shudders and begins to roll forward... downhill... towards the street. My brother-in-law reached the truck first and quickly put the transmission back in park, and I found my son kneeling on the seat with both hands firmly on the wheel. I scooped him up and turned back towards his mother and the other adults and he calls out, "I was driving!". No fear, no anxiety; just one more new thing to try. I would say more but I have to find a mirror and decide if I prefer Grecian Formula or Just For Men. I love my favorite oldest son.

whew... its at times like these that i am glad i dont have to choose between strangling and hugging my kids... i just give them the 'ol strangle-hug and bite the inside of my cheek till it bleeds in order to stop from hugging them to little bitty bits!
